Insurance

2 Soldiers Moving is a fully licensed and insured moving company. Please advise us if upon booking your move you do require a certificate of insurance (COI).

Our Teams Rights

We reserve the right to cancel any move we feel involves unsafe, or unsanitary conditions.  This includes severely inclement weather, which would lead to unsafe driving conditions. In the rare event we have  unforeseen mechanical issues the truck intended for your move date, we will advise you immediately.  We will make every effort to resolve the issue or replace the truck.  In this event, please be advised there may be a delay in the crews arrival time, or extreme case we may cancel the move.

Items We Will NOT Move

  • Plants
  • Hazardous Materials (paint, aerosols, ect)
  • Explosives
  • Valuables (jewelry, important documents, money, ect)
  • Pets
  • Perishable Food 
  • Corrosive Materials
  • Flammable Materials (propane, tanks, gas tanks, ect)
  • Power equipment with fuel tank (fuel tank must be emptied 24 hours prior to move)
  • Fish or other animal enclosures (enclosure must be drained or otherwise emptied) 

If you have an questions regarding these items, please advise us and we will provide you with a detailed list defining each category.

Damaged Items

For minor damages, we cannot file an insurance claim.  If you do feel damages have occurred do to the fault of our move crew, please advise our customer care team as soon as possible.  We will then assess the damage and determine an appropriate level of compensation.

Ikea Style Furnature & Boxed Items

 We are not responsible for furniture made of press board or compressed wood, such as Ikea furniture. Over time these types of furniture lose their stability and structural integrity, especially if the item has been relocated more than once. 

Our move teams take extreme care and caution when loading and  transporting cardboard boxes and totes. We cannot verify the contents or the condition of items packed within boxes and or totes and therefore will not be held responsible for damages to packed items.  Please ensure boxes that contain fragile items be properly labelled as such.  If you would like us to provide you with proper packing techniques, we would be more than happy to help.

Deposits

Upon booking your move with our company we do require a security deposit is placed.  This deposit is non refundable should you choose to cancel your move. Your deposit amount will be subtracted from your invoice total.

Payment (RESIDENTIAL)

All payment is required to be paid in full upon completion of your move, prior to our crews departure.  

We reserve the right to take legal action on any unpaid balance.  This includes up to 3 times the total invoice amount and any pertaining legal fees. Daily interest charges of 5% will apply on any unpaid balance.  

Payment (COMMERCIAL)

All payment is required to be paid in full upon completion of your move, prior to our crews departure.

If a processing time is required, it must be approved by our office manager prior to the move date.

Payment Methods

Accepted methods of payment are:  Cash, e-transfer and major credit cards.  We do not accept cheques or pre authorized direct deposits.
